Asylum Seekers Denied: Back to Violence

Honduras is the third Central American country this week, including El Salvador and Guatemala, to sign a pact with the United States that would bar and return migrants that travel through other countries to reach the U.S/Mexican border. The Honduran agreement comes amidst the Supreme Court allowing Trump and the White House to pursue this policy.

The implications are obvious. Migrants are being sent back to incredibly dangerous situations that prompted their immigration in the first place and a harder crackdown in immigration will be seen more often, as Mexico has armed its southern border as explained in a previous post.
