39 Vietnamese Migrants Killed in Britain

An Irish man, Maurice Robinson, has been charged with 39 counts of manslaughter, and four more, after being found driving a refrigerated truck carrying 39 Vietnamese immigrants, 8 women, 31 men, and 10 teenagers.

Most of the migrants come from impoverished regions of Vietnam where a majority of the dead migrants' families had to take on large loans in order to facilitate their travel. In addition, only 16 of the 39 have been reportedly repatriated, which required yet more loans. The issue of illegal immigration to Britain has apparently been an ongoing crisis for some time. The man involved is due to appear in court on the 13th.
